Experience:
He served as Assistant Naval Architect at Dockyard and Engineering works Ltd. Narayanganj from 1975 and then joined as Lecturer in the department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, BUET in March 1979, became Assistant Professor in 1980, Associate Professor in 1989 and Professor in 1997. He was Visiting Research Fellow at the Design Laboratory of Ship and Ocean Systems of Yokohama National University, Japan. He supervised six post-graduate theses and 27 under-graduate theses so far and has more than 50 publications in reputed National, International journals and conferences. He worked as Head of the department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, BUET for six years in three terms and provost of BUET Chattri Hall for two and a half year. He worked as member and convener at different National Committee. He was also involved in many consultancy works in marine field.
