It was built on 69 acres of land and the objective determined was to construct/repair all types of vessels up to 2000 DWT and to support the local industries on medium to heavy engineering matters. However, KSY has successfully constructed more than 400 ships/craft of different sizes and repaired around two thousand ships since her inception. As such, she has developed confidence, expertise and huge experience through her long journey on shipbuilding, repair and engineering work.

KSY has independent shipbuilding infrastructure like carriage, slipway, cranes, dredgers, drawing & design section, berth facilities, workshops etc. In addition, she has adequate number of qualified and skilled workforce in her inventory. With her existing capabilities, she undertakes all new constructions and repair of ships regularly.
